In a grand unveiling, British luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin introduced its latest GT model, the DB12, to the Indian market in September 2023. Priced at a staggering ₹4.59 crore, the first proud owner of this exquisite vehicle in India is none other than Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal. Images of Goyal's brand-new Aston Martin DB12 were shared on Instagram by 'Automobili Ardent India,' accompanied by a caption that read, "The very first Aston Martin DB12 in the country! Arriving via Aston Martin New Delhi, this beauty shines in Satin Aston Martin Racing Green, truly a sight to behold under the sun." Deepinder Goyal opted for the striking Satin Aston Martin Racing Green color, complemented by massive 21-inch alloy wheels featuring a diamond-cut finish. The car boasts a potent 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine sourced from Mercedes-Benz, delivering an impressive 680 bhp and 800 Nm of torque, coupled with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. This model serves as the successor to the highly popular Aston Martin DB11 GT supercar, with the company claiming that it incorporates 80 percent new components and features. Interestingly, former Shark Tank India judge and ex-BharatPe founder Ashneer Grover previously hinted at Deepinder Goyal's penchant for acquiring sports cars following each funding round. In a podcast, Grover shared, "I am passionate about cars, and it's not just me; it's everyone. Like Zomato's founder Deepinder, he was extremely fond of them.
